ai disruption hub

ai isn't replacing careers. it's reshaping who survives.

the honest map — what ai is eating, what humans still own, which careers are getting more valuable, and how to use ai instead of being replaced by it.

ai threat meter — by career

low → high
Content Strategist75

Source: Anthropic Economic Index India Brief 2026 (marketing/SEO content = top-5 actual Claude use case in India, 3.0% of usage) + WEF Future of Jobs 2025.

Digital Marketer / Growth70

Source: Anthropic Economic Index India Brief 2026 (marketing/SEO content top-5 use case) + WEF Future of Jobs 2025 (automation pressure on routine execution roles).

Chartered Accountant55

Source: WEF Future of Jobs 2025 names 'accountants and auditors' by title among sharpest-decline roles. Statutory audit sign-off (CA licensure) is the structural floor keeping this from going higher.

UI/UX Designer50

Source: Anthropic Economic Index India Brief 2026 — UI/UX and design tasks run 1.5× the global average on Claude in India.

Web / Full-Stack Developer50

Source: Anthropic Economic Index India Brief 2026 — web dev usage in India runs 1.9× the global average (highest over-indexed task category). Evidence of heavy current augmentation; replacement risk concentrated at junior/boilerplate end.

Data Scientist45

Source: Anthropic Economic Index 2026 (coding = most AI-exposed task category overall, but Claude success rate drops sharply on complex long-horizon work — exactly senior DS territory).

Game Developer45

Source: GDC 2026 industry survey (51% of devs plan AI for level design within 2 years) + Microsoft/GitHub Copilot GDC 2026 coverage + Hashmeta AI 2026. Industry consensus is 'hybrid, not replacement' — the 2026 'gameslop crisis' (AI-flooded marketplaces with low-quality output) pushed studios back toward human-AI workflows, keeping this mid-tier rather than Content-Strategist-tier.

Cyber Security Analyst25

Source: cross-cluster research (WEF + industry surveys) consistently frames cyber as AI-augmented, not AI-replaced — AI raises the attack surface defenders are paid to cover.

Product Manager20

Source: WEF Future of Jobs 2025 + general market reasoning — AI changes the tools (research, drafting), not the headcount.

Doctor (MBBS → MD)15

Source: WEF + McKinsey + Anthropic — no source across this research project surfaced meaningful displacement risk. Physical presence + licensure + malpractice liability are structural protections.

AI / ML Engineer10

Source: WEF Future of Jobs 2025 lists 'AI and machine learning specialists' as the single fastest-growing occupation globally — this isn't just low-threat, it's the role created by the trend threatening others.

Civil Services (IAS/IPS)5

Structurally insulated by constitutional/statutory hiring process. No source across WEF, McKinsey, or Anthropic frames civil services as AI-exposed.

methodology

Threat scores are anchored to measured AI usage and labour-market data, not vibes. The strongest single anchor is Anthropic's own Economic Index — India Country Brief (Feb 2026), which reports actual Claude.ai task usage by country rather than survey opinion. India ranks 1st globally in share of AI use devoted to software-related tasks (45.2%); web dev runs 1.9× the global average, coding 1.6×, UI/UX 1.5%, and marketing/SEO content is a top-5 use case (3.0% of usage). WEF Future of Jobs 2025 and McKinsey's generative-AI exposure work supply the occupation-level decline/growth framing where direct usage data isn't available. Labels (low / medium / high) are derived from the same 0–100 score via fixed thresholds (<35 low, 35–64 medium, ≥65 high) so the badge on a career card always matches the bar on the AI hub.

future-ready careers

careers getting more valuable in the ai era — not less.

AI / ML Engineer

You're building the disruption. WEF 2025 calls this the single fastest-growing occupation globally.

Cyber Security

AI raises the attack surface. Skilled defenders scarce.

Cloud / Platform Engineer

AI runs on infra someone has to build. 87% of engineers say AI shifts focus to system design, not headcount (Kuberns 2026).

Doctor / Healthcare

Physical + judgment-heavy.

Product Manager

Judgment, prioritization, alignment.

Researcher (PhD-track)

Frontier work is human-led.

ai + your career — how to be 5× more effective

Marketer

Use AI for 10 draft variations, pick + edit. Time saved goes into testing and analytics — not into outputting more mediocre work.

Developer

Use Cursor for boilerplate. Spend the time on architecture, code review, system thinking. AI is your typing speed, not your thinking.

Designer

Use AI for first-pass variations. Apply your taste + research to pick. Generate icons / placeholders fast.

Analyst

Use AI to write SQL drafts + summarize results. Spend the time on interpretation, framing, and questions worth asking.

the future belongs to humans who use ai. not humans afraid of it.

the people winning right now aren't the ones with the most certificates. they're the ones who ship — with ai as the typing speed, not the thinking.
